Well, the real snow came. It seemed like I would have to wait until December, but as of now, there is a fresh layer of white fluffy stuff outside. It started with little balls of ice that made noise when it landed on the ground. Then it turned to huge flakes that were beautiful.
Crunch, my boots went on the snow. The bare trees were finally clothed again in a beautiful white garment. The cold nipped at my nose but I didn't care. With each breath of sharp air, my lungs expanded and I felt alive again. My mind buzzed with thoughts of snowmen, boots, hot cocoa, sledding and snow ball fights.
Hehe, sorry for the random writing splurge. Also, that really needs to be a couple different paragraphs...=) As my friend would say, winterness randomocity.
Secondly, I have been thinking about Christmas and creative gifts to make. For my siblings I am going to knit washcloths for them. My Mom has one her friend made and really likes it.
There are tons of other ideas, though. I could make decorative pillows by knitting or crocheting a rectangle and folding it over a small, decorative pillow. I just sew it up, and there is a decorative pillow.
Last year my sister picked my name for a secret santa. She sewed me a warm, fuzzy blanket that I adore--especially now that it is winter again.
I could crochet scarfs. My sister showed me how to crochet infinity scarfs (the circles). They are in style and really easy and quick to make.
Have any other great suggestions?
Happy Thanksgiving Time!
Allyssa
PS. Proverbs 3:5-6
(5) Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
(6) In all ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
