I don't know about you, but it feels as if it has been winter for FOREVER! Why are we always so discontent with each season that comes and goes we find something that's wrong or not to our liking. For example:
Summer: It is too hot and you just want to see a pretty snowfall. I want to make snow angels and fall back softly into the mounds of white powder. How much I love a good snowball fight, or a skating rink, or a snow fort. Will this hot mess of a summer ever end?
Fall: Will winter come already? The weather is still getting colder...
Winter: AUGH! I am freezing. It is sooo cold. My toes are frozen.... and no horses to ride. How much I long to run around with a tank top and shorts. How much I want to bathe in the sun. How much I want to wash cars with friends and blast them with the icy cold water that feels soooo good (and vice versa). How much I want summer to come, for my horse will follow soon after. Who cares about the pretty snow? It just keeps falling and falling and falling and falling. Not to mention school....
Spring: I seriously don't know what's wrong with spring. It is by far my favorite season. Especially since school ends around that time. =)
The cycle goes on over and over and over and over again. I guess I will have to work at being content.

ha, the thing I can find to complain about spring is: Mud. Lots of it. Oh, and flooding. I honestly can't think of a single thing I hate about Summer.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Anora, I've totaled up your points/chances (whatever you want to call them) and you are entered 10 times! I really think you're going to win . . . :)

thanks =). I love spring because when the snow melts and the ground is still hard there are rivers. My bro and I would go out and put small boats and watch them float down. =)
ReplyDeleteYes, I also struggle with being sad and longing for spring. I keep having to remind myself that God created winter AND spring, and that he planned for every snowflake of those feet of snow to fall, and he decided that I'd live in snowy Minnesota. It makes it easier to be thankful and not complain when I remember Who I'd be complaining to. :) That's not to say that I'm not SO excited for spring! I LOVE spring! I love the mud and the smells, and the air of utter newness! It's enough to inspire my writing forever!
