This is a story that a pastor told at our home school co-op. I am home schooled and the co-op we go to has a worship time and then we do a small sermon. Our pastor was so big on stories, and I'll share two of them with you.
A flower shop had two orders put in. One was for a funeral, and another for a work place that was expanding. There was a mess up and at the funeral went the flowers with a card reading, 'Congratulation on your new location!' and the other read 'Sympathy'. The manager called and apologized for the mess-up, but the people at the funeral liked what the card read.
Imagine that..... Death is merrily a word for a transition to a new location. That is especially something to cheer about. There is no fear in death when you are going to an even better place.
Story #2
(This one is simply a funny story, but still is Christian-like)
A man goes to a stable and gets a horse that went by two commands. Hallelujah and Thank you Jesus. The 'thank you Jesus' was made to make the horse go, and 'hallelujah' was to make the horse stop. So the man takes a ride through the dessert. (I know it's not too realistic) He says "Thank you Jesus!" and they took off. Soon they come up to a cliff and the man yells "Hallelujah" just in the nick of time. He takes a sigh of relief and says, "Thank you Jesus!" and with that, he shot forward off the cliff.
It's kinda funny. I will admit that I chuckled when I heard it. Jesus is all about smiles!!! =) :0 ;) :D :-) Definitely not this, :( =( x( :',(
