Eh, eet's Italian-o

I am really excited about my voice lessons this year. I am getting to the point where I am singing in Italian. I have done the song The Prayer half in English, half in Italian, but my next song, Nella Fantasia, is going to be all Italian. I am also obsessed (not totally obsessed, but shall I say, I love) the song called The Call by Regina Spektor. =) It's just so pretty. Anyways, what's your favorite song? Or can you not decide? For me, second would have to be Vanilla Twilight by Owl City. Or Fireflies (by the same group).

PS. I don't have my usual cute backrounds because my blog is acting up. You'll have to settle for snow for a while, but it fits the weather here. It is snowing.=)

Random Quotes

My lack of posting is very unfortunate, because I've learned that if you post spuratically instead of regularily, you don't give your followers as much interest. In order to 'jazz' this post up, please enjoy these awesome sayings and quotes.
Random Quotes (and sayings) That I Love:
Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live it whole life believing that it is stupid.
-Albert Einstien

Some people are like slinkies. They don't serve any purpose, but they bring a smile to your face when they fall down the stairs.

My mind works like lightning, one brilliant flash and it's gone.

I dream of a better tomorrow... where chickens can cross roads and not have their motives questioned!

Whoever said nothing was impossible never tried nailing jello to a tree!!!

I'm the type of girl who will burst out laughing in dead silence at something that happened yesterday.

I'm the kind of person who will spend hours trying to drown a fish.

Have smiles =) Smiles are good. Smiles are fun. :P

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoyed my pictures of my gingerbread house. As of now, it's state is rather eaten. =) Anyways, I hope you had a great Christmas! I for sure did. Here's some of the things I got:

*Dresage horse calendar

* Word on the Street (board game)

* Puzzles

* Scrapbooking stickers

* Books

* AN AMAZON KINDLE!!!! Truth be told, I am spoiled and santa has raised the bar with gifts. ;)

It has an awesome pink case and I already had Emily (http://www.thenerveofvurve.blogspot.com/) over to play with it. I only have three books on it, but so far so good. It's also really fun playing with apps. I have doodle jump, traffic jam, and angry birds.

Christmas is fun not just because I get gifts, but I had fun with my siblings and neice. My niece has a growing vocabulary and can say 'crazy a-ti-tude'. =) Can you say adroable?

Overal, it was an awesome year and I hope that you all have an awesome 2012 coming up!

:'(

I'm dreaming of a white Chirstmas, just like the ones I used to know. =( As of right now, any snow left that hasn't melted, is going to melt in this rain. There I said it... rain. rain. rain. rain. rain.
It is 10 days 'till Christmas and there will be no snow. I looked at the weather, and I am going to have a brown Chirstmas. Brown. brown. brown. brown. brown. It's not like it matters too much, but it doesn't feel like Christmas. =(
Guess what I'm gonna do: Pray for snow.
I hope you have a white Christmas (if you live where it's possible to have one).

This Season

Once upon a time, in a little town of Bethlehem, lay a baby swaddled in cloth and snuggled in a manger. There was no room for him in the inn. His parents were in Bethlehem for the cencus when he was born. This baby was named Jesus. His parent's had no idea what was in store for him...

I can't believe how much Christmas has morphed to a gift giving frenzy and us Christians are slowly neglecting the real reason Christmas. I have been trying to think of ideas that can make Christmas more Christ-based. What are you doing to make Christmas more Christ-based.

Volunteering

I am really excited because tomorrow, after my homeschool co-op, I am going to volunteer and read books to children. I look forward to giving these children someone to talk to and continue to get to know them.
Also, I am looking forward to this Sunday because I am in this show called One Starry Night. It is like you are walking through Bethlehem. I am a shepherd, so I usher our guests to the manger. I tell them about the angels that 'appeared to me'. I am really looking forward to doing it, and I am doing it with my best friend. =)

PS. I just love the Christmas season! It is an excuse to be happy and cheery. =)

I miss you!!!

Quic Word: I miss my followers commenting! =( I love you guys and you rock, so comment please. Ooh, and thanks if you read this post

My Day: I had a band preformance at a nursing home, and one of the girls that was in a trio that I do was sick. Our band instructer got to play with us and it was really cool with her. I also hung out with Emily (http://www.thenerveofverve.blogspot.com/) and we totally did nothing but talk, but it was fun.

I am also enjoying Advent and the Christmas feel. It's not just presents (which are fun) but the real meaning of Christmas. Here is a poem that I posted, but no one seemed to see it. Please read it all. It is REALLY good!

Twas the Month before Christmas
Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.
See the PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a ' Holiday'.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,
not Happy Holiday!
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

Luv ya bunches!

His name

Verse1:As morning dawns and evening fades
You inspire song of praise
That rise from earth to touch Your heart
and glorify Your Name
Chorus:Your name is a strong and mighty tower
Your name is a shelter like no other
Your name, let the nations sing it louder
'Cause nothing has the power to saveBut Your name
Vrrse2:
Jesus, in your name we pray
Come and fill our hearts today
And give us strength to live for You
and glorify You name
chorus:Your name is a strong and mighty tower
Your name is a shelter like no other
Your name, let the nations sing it louder
'Cause nothing has the power to save
But Your name (3x)

How many times have we been told that as Christians, we have the power to use Jesus Christ's name? I always used it, but had a different experience with that yesterday. Iwas in a dream where something bad was happening and I used His name, and the bad dream left.
The Bible says that God is our refuge and that His name is powerful. Demon's aren't able to be around when we say that name. We have such a wonderful tool at our fingertips-- the Lord Jesus Christ! =)
